Hospitality – the relationship between guest and host – from the Latin ‘to have power’

                        – the bond formed by eating under one roof

                        – to share your space, your food, your warmth, your safety

                        –  to use what is yours in the service of your guest – ‘the lord of strangers’

to be a mother is to give your body to the hosting of a guest – a  stranger – whom you have yet to meet, a passenger, a stowaway
